Who Can Sign Up for TrueLane?
To sign up for discounts from the TrueLane program, you must:
- Be a licensed driver listed on The Hartford’s auto insurance policy
- Have a valid email address
- Have a compatible smartphone with sufficient coverage, permission services and a data plan
- Agree to receive text messages about the TrueLane program
Even though not everyone on your policy needs to sign up, the more eligible drivers that participate, the greater the potential discount.
Will I Always Get a Discount With TrueLane?
You can save up to 12% for participating and up to 25% when you renew. The renewal discount is based on your driving habits. You’re also free to stop using the TrueLane app at any time, but you will no longer receive a discount.
