Base Commission paid to Producers on Personal Insurance policies placed with The Hartford vary and are based on a variety of factors, as described on our Producer Compensation Disclosure page. The historic ranges set forth below apply to ninety (90%) percent of Personal Insurance policies written with us.

Base Commission ranges shown are net of any policyholder service fees charged to the Producer. When applicable, such fees are generally 1% of the premium.
Contingent Commission
In addition to receiving a Base Commission, a Producer may be eligible to earn a Contingent Commission. Contingent Commission can be earned based on a Producer's performance with us over a specified period in the past, as described on our Producer Compensation Disclosure page. Contingent Commission ranges from 1% to 7.0% of eligible premium for 90% of our eligible Producers.
Supplemental Commission
In addition to receiving a Base Commission, a Producer may receive Supplemental Commission. Supplemental Commission for 90% of the Producers who earn such commissions ranges from 1% to 7%.

Individual Producers and customer service representatives may also receive other payments, benefits, and compensation, including individual incentive awards (usually less than $100 per policy sold or other performance measures) as described in more detail on our Producer Compensation Disclosure page.
