Head of Middle & Large Commercial
Tracey Ant is The Hartford's head of Middle & Large Commercial, where she is responsible for driving profitable growth and underwriting excellence across the segment’s 14 business units.
Ant joined the company in 2013 and served as head of Field Sales & Execution.
Her current responsibilities include leading Middle & Large Commercial’s underwriting teams across the country, strengthening and expanding independent agent and broker relationships, and strategically growing the segment’s 14 business units.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Ant served as a Managing Director and the Primary Casualty Placement Leader in the U.S. for Marsh & McLennan. In this role, she was responsible for leading and coordinating the placement operations for Marsh’s U.S. primary casualty business, including Global Risk Management and Middle Market clients. She began her career as an underwriter at ITT Hartford, where she spent the first six years.
Ant holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Hofstra University and a master's degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Ant is a member of the Hofstra University Women in Leadership group and is active with the Hofstra University Women’s Basketball program. She is the secretary of the Board of Freedom House, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and reuniting families who are experiencing substance use and co-occurring disorders.
