Adrien RobinsonAdrien T. Robinson is head of Global Specialty at The Hartford, an organization focused on insuring the unique, complex and hard-to-place risks of customer businesses domiciled domestically and internationally.
 
Global Specialty has more than 130 unique specialty products, both on an admitted and non-admitted basis. Core lines of business include financial lines, excess & surplus (E&S) property and casualty, environmental, surety, ocean marine, livestock, and credit & political risk. Global Specialty also has a dedicated international team based in London and operates Lloyds Syndicate 1221.
 
Prior to assuming this role, Robinson served as head of Complex Casualty, Construction, and Inland Marine within the Middle & Large Commercial unit at The Hartford. Between 2008 and 2019, he served as president of U.S. Commercial lines at Navigators, which consisted of Excess Casualty, Environmental, Life Sciences, Allied Healthcare, Media Arts & Entertainment, Global Package, Commercial Auto, and Surety.
 
From 2001 to 2008, Robinson served in various underwriting and management positions within AIG Environmental.  Prior to that, he held environmental engineering positions with The Green Environmental Group and AGRA Earth & Environmental.
 
Robinson brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry to his role at The Hartford with a strong technical background in law and engineering. He is skilled in Property & Casualty Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Risk Assessment, Casualty Insurance, Reinsurance, Law and Engineering. Robinson also holds a law degree focused in environmental and energy from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as a bachelor’s degree in applied science in environmental engineering from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada.
