The workers' compensation policy is probably the most simply worded commercial coverage form that we use – it has limited exclusions, and no defined terms.  However, the policy and coverage triggers are defined by the state WC law or laws that are applicable for each specific claim, and those laws, which vary considerably from state to state, are far from simple.

The Workers Compensation webinar series is a live, instructor-led online training series. The series consists of 8 monthly sessions (each session is filed for one hour of CE credit).

After the completion of all eight sessions, students will gain the ability to increase their ability to evaluate insureds’ WC “exposures” and structure coverage to prevent coverage gaps, audit issues, and to protect their own professional liability exposure.

Series Sessions:
Session 1 – Workers’ Compensation Policy Part 1 – Statutory Coverages
Session 2 – Workers’ Compensation Policy Part 2 – Employers Liability
Session 3 – Who is an Employee?
Session 4 – Extraterritorial and Reciprocity
Session 5 – Negotiating Pricing
Session 6 – Mining Loss Runs
Session 7 – Understanding Vocabulary and Mechanics of Retention Programs
Session 8 – Avoiding Common Mistakes
