Interest in vehicle safety technology is increasing among mature drivers.

    • In a similar 2017 survey, just 43 percent of drivers age 50 and older had vehicle safety technology and 74 percent of drivers age 50 and older without vehicle safety technology were interested in getting it.
  • Only about 1 in 10 drivers age 50 and older (12 percent) find vehicle safety technology distracting, and a small percentage (less than 13 percent) turn their vehicle safety technology off.
