Registration Information
I need to miss the first day of class or a few days during the course, can I still attend?
In order to receive CE credit, the entire course must be attended.

Where is my Registration Confirmation Statement?

How do I obtain a copy of my Tuition Invoice?

Is there a payment plan option?

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations received 30 days or more prior to start of the program will receive a full refund.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 29 days prior to the start of the program. Students will be given one opportunity to transfer to another session, preferably within the same calendar year. Refunds are not available for transferred programs.

FAQs - Virtual Programs
Is there a difference between in-person and virtual programs?
Hartford School of Insurance Virtual training programs contain the exact course content and curriculum as our in-person programs but are delivered through an online/virtual, synchronized format via the Internet and telephone.
Most virtual programs, with the exception of Advanced Commercial Lines Consultant Workshop, Ethics & the Insurance Professional, Business Income Workshop and Group Benefits Disability Specialist Program, are not filed for CE credits.
Will there be interaction with the instructor and other students?
The virtual programs include interactive activities, application sharing and an online chat feature to connect with the instructor and other students.
What is a typical class size?
Average class size is 18 students.
Do I receive CE credits for virtual programs?
Most virtual programs, with the exception of Advanced Commercial Lines Consultant Workshop, Ethics & the Insurance Professional, Business Income Workshop and Group Benefits Disability Specialist Program, are not filed for CE credits.
What time do the virtual sessions occur?
These programs are full day commitments and require students to give 100% of their daily focus and time for the duration of the program. For the specific program dates please refer to your program of interest page.
Students MUST attend both daily sessions.

What are the system requirements for the virtual program?
Sessions are hosted by Adobe Connect. To test your system requirements and compatibility prior to your session, use the System Check Tool.
How do I access the virtual program information?
Links to access the online sessions will be sent to each student approximately one week before the start of class.
Is there homework during the virtual program?
Students are given mandatory assignments to work on and complete before, in between and after daily virtual sessions.
What can I expect after the virtual program?
After the program ends you will receive an email requesting you complete survey. Please take the 2 - 3 minutes to provide Hartford School of Insurance with your feedback.
You will also receive an email that includes ways to stay connected with HSI. These include joining our LinkedIn page, writing a review on our website and keeping an eye in your inbox for other notifications.
If you achieved a designation from the program, you will be receiving the certificate 4 - 6 weeks after the course ends in the mail.

What time do the programs begin and end?
Commercial Lines Producer School: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm daily Monday through Friday. The last day of class ends at 2:00 pm.
What is a typical class size?
Average class size is 15 students.
What is Phase I pre-work?
The Phase I pre-work portion of the program is a self-paced introduction to insurance concepts and coverage that will be further developed in the Phase II classroom portion. Successful completion of Phase I prepares the student to effectively engage in classroom dialogue, activities, and help ensure successful retention of the material.
When will I receive Phase I pre-work?
Phase I pre-work is sent out 4 weeks before the program start date. Tuition must be paid in full prior to receiving Phase I pre-work material. Phase I pre-work for students who register within 4 weeks will be sent out immediately after registration and tuition is paid in full.

How much time should I allocate for Phase I pre-work?
Phase I pre-work can take up to 2 hours per day for 4 weeks. A learning checklist and exams are provided with your Phase I pre-work package.
What is the class dress code?
Business casual, no jeans.
Men – dress pants, collared polo-style shirts or dress shirts.
Women – dress pants, dresses, skirts, blouses or sweaters.
What do I bring with me to class?
Please bring a calculator.
If you are going to pursue CE credits, please bring your License Number and Issuance Date with you along with a Picture ID. This information is required to file application forms for your State CE credit. You are responsible for signing in and out on the CE Roster on a daily basis.
You will receive an agenda, additional books and materials on the first day in class.

Travel & Accommodations
Are travel expenses included in tuition price?
No, the participant is responsible for arranging their own travel and lodging, and covering all costs incurred (including travel, lodging, and meals) while participating in the program.
Is there transportation included?
No, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
What time can I arrange for travel home on the last day of class?
Program start and end times are listed below. Please take this into consideration when booking your returning flights home.
