The only people who are covered while driving a rented vehicle are the named Insured, the insured's spouse, and any "family member" as defined in the policy booklet. "Family member" is defined as "Any person related to the named insured or insured's spouse by blood, marriage or adoption who is a resident of the insured's household. This also included a ward or foster child." This is applicable regardless of whether or not a person is a listed driver on the policy.
Residents of Texas: The only people who are covered while driving a rented vehicle are the Named Insured, the insured's spouse, and any "family member" as defined in the policy booklet. In this state, "family member" is defined as "Any person related to the named insured or insured's spouse by blood, marriage or adoption who is a resident of the insured's household. This also includes a ward or foster child or the spouse of the Named Insured even while not a resident of the household during a period of separation in contemplation of divorce." This is applicable regardless of whether or not a person is a listed driver on the policy.
Please note that coverage described in this tool should not be confused with rental reimbursement – rental car reimbursement only applies due to a covered loss or accident and is subject to policy coverage limits.
