We Heard Your Policy Delivery Concerns

Agency serviced customers who’ve e-consented will no longer get their digital policy documents before you’ve had time to review them. Effective April 4, they will get the email linking them to their renewal policy 10 days after it’s available. This will give you time to review and discuss it with them.

Three Day Delay of New Business Policy Delivery
|

We’ve also updated our new business policy delivery process. When we issue a new business policy in ICON, we’ll wait three days to distribute the policy package to the customer. During this time, the customer will receive an email from The Hartford encouraging them to register for My Account. This also signs them up for paperless delivery. If the customer has e-consented, we will deliver their policy electronically instead of by mail. However, you can view it online immediately. During the three day window, we’ll mark the delivery method as “Pending” in your EBC tracker. After three days, we’ll update the delivery method to the customer’s preference.

NOTE: This change will NOT delay the digital access that agents have today to policy output: In the EBC Agent Portal AND delivered to Agency Management Systems using ACORD eDocs via IVANS and via MFT (for agencies who are enrolled).
